The Jubaland Presidential Candidate Union Council (GMMJ) announced today the appointment of the Jubaland Independent Electoral Commission.
The appointment of this committee came after the opposition council opposed what they called the rigging of the election alleged by the president of Jubbaland, Ahmed Madobe.
The Jubbaland Candidates Council said that this committee, which consists of 7 members, will lead the activities of the borders and the elections.
They called on the traditional elders of Jubbaland to facilitate the selection of members of parliament.
It was recently when the Jubbaland opposition questioned the confidence of the Jubbaland President Ahmed Madobe appointed committee to manage the presidential and parliamentary elections that are scheduled to take place soon.
In the 2019 election, there was a dispute like this in the Jubbaland election, which later caused Ahmed Madobe to reconcile with the opposing politicians, by giving him part of his Council of Ministers.
